I’ve been competing in grappling for a long time.
For the first 6ish years of my time training, everything I did was structured by wrestling coaches and strength coaches at my school. My high school wrestling experience gave me the basis for what would eventually become my approach to Jiu-Jitsu training.
But switching from Jiu-Jitsu to wrestling presented new challenges — including a change in lifestyle, new injuries, and new goals.

This article covers thoughts and lessons learned on weight-cutting, diet, supplements, strength and conditioning, and even steroids. It’s a part of my new monthly series of mega-articles covering essential topics that will make you better at Jiu-Jitsu.
Enjoy 😊
