I don’t write a lot of emails like this, but I wanted to peek my head into your inbox this Monday morning because I want to tell you about this latest project that I’ve been working on designing for the last month.
I also just announced my Patreon on social media the other day, but I wasn’t able to go into detail about exactly what exactly I’m going to be doing with this new page.
So let’s talk about it.
What is Patreon?
Patreon is a membership platform that allows “creators” (writers, athletes, artists, musicians, etc) to run subscription-based services.
What’s happening on MY Patreon?
My Patreon has 3 tiers, each of which will help you get better at Jiu-Jitsu. My Patreon is a resource that will you get you better at Jiu-Jitsu.
I have over 13 years of grappling experience and almost 8 years of BJJ experience. I’ve competed on some of the biggest stages in the sport, and this page is a way that I can share that knowledge with you—from anywhere in the world.
I recently released my first Jiu-Jitsu instructional with Jiu-Jitsu X, and it was met with really positive reviews.

Or this one:
What’s cool is that with Patreon, I’ll be able to cover a wider range of curriculum than just the leg lock system I covered in “Sloth Style Leg Locks”. The format of the site gives me a lot more freedom as a teacher. I can share sparring footage, matches that cover the moves I’m teaching, and more.
Yesterday, for example, I filmed a short segment on body lock passing, and another segment on defending the buggy choke, which is a common reaction that happens in body lock passing.
So here are the 3 “tiers” of my Patreon:
The first tier of my Patreon provides technique videos to patrons at least once per week. There are 2 of them already up on the site, and one is free, so you check out my teaching style and see if you like it.
With all my travel planned for this year, there might be some great guest instructors appearing on my page soon as well. Be on the lookout for that.
The second tier of my Patreon is where I think it really gets good. This tier offers technique videos, training footage, comp footage, seminar clips, match breakdowns (I’ll be doing the first one this week!), technique flow charts, and lifestyle videos (vlogs, mindset stuff, etc).
This tier also offers compensated access to my premium newsletter, so you can read articles like these:
Lastly, we have the third tier.
This tier is the most expensive but also offers the most benefits. You will have access to everything I’ve already mentioned, in addition to bonus articles for top-tier patrons only, the ability to make requests on the kinds of content you want to see, and early access to some of my upcoming instructionals and Jiu-Jitsu-related writing projects.
This year is going to be crazy.
So far this year, I’ve already been to Austin to train at a bunch of different gyms and I’ve competed in a really exciting event in the SOS Team Championship a few weeks ago.
That’s only the beginning, and that’s why I’m so excited to see what happens with this Patreon page over these next few months.
I’ll be competing in some really big events, training and teaching all over the US, and much more, and I’ll be making sure to share as many insights as I can on this Patreon site.

I promise that you won’t regret it.
