
One thing that has always drawn me to Jiu-Jitsu and kept me coming back over and over again is the creative problem-solving aspect.
In order to progress on the mat, you need to solve problems. You need to get creative. You need to test things.
Your body is the paintbrush, and your training or competition is the canvas. Your movements create a piece of art via grappling.
It’s a craft. It’s a skill.
I like to think of it as an art.
But are martial arts really “arts”?
Does it really matter?
