It’s been a while since I did a Grappler’s Travel Diary.

Although I’ve been on many trips this year, I haven’t stayed anywhere long enough to truly immerse myself in the place.

I go on a lot of trips for Jiu-Jitsu. Over the next 6 weeks, I have only 2 weekends at home, and in one of them, I’ll be competing here in Austin. I have one weekend off for the next 6.

However, this busy calendar is my own doing. I wouldn’t want it any other way right now.

Last week, my girlfriend and I visited France for relaxation and exploration.

It seems that every 6 months or so, I’m overcome by the urge to pack my bag, head somewhere new, and see a bit more of the world. It seems that every 6 months or so, some beautiful country in Europe reminds me of the person I want to be — a different kind of lifestyle that I want to live.

But more on that in a moment.
