It’s been a while since I did a Grappler’s Travel Diary.
Although I’ve been on many trips this year, I haven’t stayed anywhere long enough to truly immerse myself in the place.
I go on a lot of trips for Jiu-Jitsu. Over the next 6 weeks, I have only 2 weekends at home, and in one of them, I’ll be competing here in Austin. I have one weekend off for the next 6.

It seems that every 6 months or so, I’m overcome by the urge to pack my bag, head somewhere new, and see a bit more of the world. It seems that every 6 months or so, some beautiful country in Europe reminds me of the person I want to be — a different kind of lifestyle that I want to live.
But more on that in a moment.
Here’s what we did and why I liked it.
